One time at Bronco camp.... Let's hear it. Anything strange or unusual happen to you at bronco camp? Nothing too spicy, this is regular bronco chat.
One time at Bronco camp, it was the middle of the night. I woke up in my tent. I could hear something coming thru the woods towards my tent. It sound like it was heavy in size, from the snapping of twigs and branches. It came right up to my tent. I could hear it sniffing. I didn't move or make any noise. I never heard it leave. It might have been a big foot or a werewolf, I will never know.

One day in Bronco camp we were out at high Deasert round-up. My wife got up late at night for a run to the porta potty. She took the dog with her. After about an hour I woke back up and they were still gone. WTF? so I got up and went for a rescue mission. She and the dog were no where to be found. I started wandering the area looking for them, I went one way and I guess she was wandering the other way. After about another 1-1/2 hours I found them on the other far side of the camping area sitting on a rock crying, cold, and scared. Funny thing is the Potty was less than 30 yards away and you would have figured that if your walking for hours your going the wrong way. I had to carry this 40 lb dog back to camp with the wife doing the walk of shame. After that the dog wouldn't do late night potty runs with her anymore.

This is the same one who on the way to a adopt-a-trail trail run has to stop at starbucks to get a large hot chocolate. we hit the trail and the cup is too big to fit in the cup holders and to damn hot to drink and hold on to so she sits it on the seat between her thighs. We hit the bumpy road and she hangs on for the ride and while doing that she squeezes her thighs and builds up pressure in the cup until the lid pops off and the fountain of hot chocolate hits her in the face and soaks the whole front of her attire. I saw it as it happened and I am dying to hold back. Poor girl had to wear it all day amoungst our friends. She did learn that you always bering spare clothes on a trail run.

Same wife while on a trail run at Los Coyotes we get to a section of trail called toboggin hill. This was about a 75 yard hill that ran down hill in a trough covered in slimy clay like mud. Once you get in it just a slide to the bottom. You turn your tires into the bank to slow you down and try to crawl your way to the bottom. This was steep, wet and scarry. Too scarry for the wife as she decides its safer to walk down the side of the trail. Not a bright Idea. But when the woman makes up her mind you just get out of the way. So while traversing the trail she is holding on to my bumper guard and slips down into the trail and slides all the way to the bottom, sliding around rolling in the mud at the bottom of the run. She was OK but pride took an ass wopping that day. At Least she had a change of clothes. She also learned if it isnt safe for the truck it shure as hell isnt safe to walk it.

I was camping in Campico, our Bronco Camper, and we were parked under a tree on an island in Lake Superior, and it was our 2nd night in the camper. Parked on a small flat on the side of a small hill. We were just falling asleep when my girlfriend (now wife) said " Do you hear that?" I listened... Then I heard another twig snap and some shuffling. The Bronco Camper has windows way up high on the tent portion of the pop up top, and our heads were near the hill-side window. The noises got closer and pretty soon the snuffling was unmistakably a big animal....and not far from our window, a good 6' or more from the ground... My wife said. "bear.....?". I said, heart thumping out of my chest and pulse pumping through my ears.."no....pra-bably a M-ink" It was a long 15 seconds, and then I thumped the side of the canvas of our pop up and yelled "HEEEYY!" I dont know if that was the wrong thing to do ...but he left. Probably a blackbear anyway, no Grizzly up there. Still kinda scary.
