I don't know how, but I've lost my crankshaft oil slinger for my 393 build. Does anyone know of an online source for this part? I've tried Summit and Jegs and Google, but no luck.

Thanks in advance.

Some or maybe all 5.0s don't use one. I went Mustang serpentine on a 302 and had no room for the one that was on the engine. I went to the dealer for the right one and they said the 86 to 93 Mustang did not use one. No problems so far. It has been about 5 or 6 years.

My 89 5.0 doesn't have one but it did have some other kind of slinger attached to the cam gear. I didn't have room for it with the explorer timing cover so I left it off.

Super! I've been waiting to find the slinger before I install my Explorer timing cover and Serp set up, so it sounds like I don't need it.

A few more reassuring posts would be nice though.
