"Some rust" is a pretty subjective term depending on where you live. Any more details on that?

Have you driven it?

Is this a "make an offer" type sale or are you trying to figure out where the bottom of your negotiation window is?

Its been well used and I would say wheeled pretty hard by looking at those old 14x35 gumbo mudders and the front & rear homemade bumpers. Hard to say without more detail on it, looks like its been sitting outside for some time, I would say it has good amount of rust in it. Depending what you are going to use it for, but I wouldn't give more than $1000, theres a lot of time and $ to make that rig a driver

You sure you didn't drop a zero there?

It is really hard to find any Bronco around where I live for under $10,000

This one is advertised for $4,000 on CL near where I live:

The days of finding a $1000 Bronco are quickly disappearing!

It's a $3,000 Bronco in my area that would be advertised for $6000 and it needs some more work and $ to be safe street driver. Does it have power steering? Decent brakes, brake lines, power brakes, or a good master cylinder? All those things add up so if you get a "good deal" you also have to be mindful of how much it will cost to get it road worthy.

Door posts and strikers. At least one rear quarter panel. Kick panels most likely. Floor boards are likely too. Drivers side fender.

And that's just what you can see/assume from the pictures.

What's your intent with the truck? Plan to beat on it? Or were you thinking restore/turn into a daily driver?

Maybe you could tell us what your plans are for it?

For a hunting type rig it is probably fine as is with a clean up and safety work done to it, which could be extensive depending on previous maintenance (if any) and how hard it has been used.

I just spent $1,100.00 for a new hood, fender and grill from WH's for a buddies bronco. I see door skins, rear quarter panels, fenders... sheet metal is not cheap, nor is the bodywork and paint.

Budget wise, in the long run, it will be cheaper to find something less "hammered", needing less work.

As far as prices...

My buddy in CA just bought a frame with a title for $1000.00

A year ago I bought a rolling tub with no interior/top/running gear for $4k.

I have any intention of fully restoring it or being a daily driver. It would be something I would drive occasionally. I got a trade offer in it on my bike, I wouldn't sell my bike less than$5 so if this anywhere near that in value I wouldn't trade. I have another trade offer for an 85 web Chevy that is in amazing condition

Hate to say it, but even in today's world that's still a $1000 Bronco in my book.
Yeah, I know... Someone will jump on it for $6 grand and think they got a good deal. But they didn't.

It's a shame too, as it's a '72 Explorer package, with what's left of the parchment floor mat (front only though it looks like).
Probably not much left of it that would stand out in a crowd or make it worth more money though.

Basically, it's past it, as they say. A parts truck (barely), or project for someone who's doing all the work themselves. If you're going to pay a shop to fix it, it's a $30,000 bill minimum.
Cheaper at that point to buy a whole new body from one of the suppliers at $9-10k for starters.

For a project buy/trade the bronco...

But for me the Chevy looks like a driver that is ready to go.
Have an independent inspection done on the Chevy, put it on a rack and look at the under side.

Buyer beware seems to be motto these days...

Agreed with Paul, someone somewhere may pay much more for it, but honestly, there's a lot of work there for paying over $1k - $2k for it.

I'd just be patient and keep looking, something is out there, trust me
