SteveL, if you don't have the Optima charger, you need to put a good battery between it and a standard charger. Jumper cable from good battery to Optima and put the charger on the good battery. Sounds crazy but works!!!
Good luck!!;D;D;D
Here's the update. Battery 2 years old and actually found the receipt. I go. To pep boys for exchange. I tell. Him it's dead. He says we need to check it. It takes 2 minutes. After 2 minutes he says looks like it's charging.. I say no its dead. He says 38 more minutes. So I stand there leaning on a parts rack looking at him like he's a dumbass. Every time he looked up I say it's dead. After about 20 minutes of this the other guy goes back to check it. Comes back and tells the guy it was at like 60 cranking amps at 20 minutes and not gonna take a full charge. While they're writing up my new one the manager came out and asked what the f they were trying to charge. The machine was hot as hell. I told em it would've been worth my 1/2hour if I got to see something blow up.

I use a BatteryMINDer on my 15 year old yellow top. It sits most of the year. In fact I haven't moved that Bronco in almost 2 years. Optima quality was much better back then too. I just got a CTEK charger for my other Bronco.
