My Cage 3.5" lift should arrive next week. I'll post pictures of the install next weekend. In the meantime I'd appreciate any suggestions for how to make the upgrade go easier, other things I should do while I'm under there, etc. The current shocks and stock leaf springs have been on there a long time.

soak everything in pb blaster that you will have to take off for as long as long as you can

And then RE-SOAK every couple days. ;D

I also recommend taking it to a DIY Car Wash and power spray all the dirt and gunk from the underside.

BTW: Soak every bolt with PB Blaster (or my favorite Sea Foam)!!! ;D ;D ;D

I paid $860 for the complete kit and $110 for the shipping....total of $970. Got it from J&M offroad (866.602.5977). The guy who was heping me coincidentally has a '74 bronco and he's running the 5.5" lift and loves it.

I called one other place and they wanted $952 for the kit and $98 for shipping.

From my old notes, cage was selling them for $869.50 when they were going direct. Hope this helps.

I'm going to order my 3.5" CAGE lift shortly and I'm going to go with J&M as well. They still have their pricing where CAGE used to be and Mike is informative and has first hand experience with these kits. He loves his kit on and off road but he did mention that if he had it to do all over again he might go with a 3.5" and 2" BL as right now he's not running any body lift.

J&M Offroad:
76-77 3.5" Lift Kit - $750 (no track bar bracket or drop pitman arm)
Includes: Coils, Leafs, 4 degree 14-piece bushing kit, exttended front shock mounts, (4) CAGE shocks [32.97/19 & 29.4/17.35]

Long Travel Radius Arms - $625 w/ purchase of lift kit ($650 without)

Front Shock Hoops - $156 (subtract $40 for the front shock mounts in kit)

Rear Shock Hoops - $150

Additional Shocks - $36 each

I am in no way affiliated with J&M but I priced everything from several distributors and found J&M the easiest to get a hold of on the phone and very informative. I'm looking at placing my order this week.

I used JM offroad too. It was the best deal, and cheaper than directly from cage. They gave great support too. I try and recommend them to everyone!!!
