Stock, no lift, stock tires, wheels etc. I have read a lot of threads about lean. When I had my front end off for swapping in disc brakes I put the arms together about 20 times and it was still off about 1/4" on one side. I even ground the cap mating surfaces which made no difference. I have just been living with the lean. This lean is 1/2 all along the passenger side. New body mounts also. For example on the rear body it is 28 1/2 pass and 29 driver side to the lip. At the body mount ear on the frame it is 26 pass and 26 1/4 drivers side. Front is 33 1/4 pass and 33 3/4 drviers side body lip. Body mount is 24 1/2 pass and 25 drivers side. All arounf 1/2" difference side to side, lower on the passenger side (or higher on the driver side)!
I suspected one of my rear springs packs was bad because on one side the steel wrap around the front of the pack was split open. Measuring from the ground to edge of the spring 24 3/4 pass and 25 1/4 drivers side at the rear and 16 1/2 pass and 16 3/4 drivers side. 1/4 - 1/2 side to side.
The last check I made was the angle of the rear spring pirch. One side is angled forward 8 degrees more than the other. This would mean the spring is longer or shorter side to side. I am assuming one of these springs is toast.
Before I spend a huge effort getting the rear springs out can I get a sanity check? Would a sagging rear spring cause the whole rig to be lopsided? I am pretty soked to be down to this kind of stuff - at least I can drive it around and enjoy while leaning!
