For mounting off a dash bar, the short arms works very well.

I recommend the long arm for the GoPro mount. That way you can really position the camera where ya want it.

I forgot to update - Got my mounts and have been using them for about a month and they are AWESOME! They fit on the 2" cage without the rubber but here is still no vibration - rock solid. Compared to the stock RAM cage mount (hose clamp - wtf?) there is NO comparison. Re-positionable in seconds without tools.
