Here's one mine on 37" MTRs. There are a few more from Hollister as well as some w/39.5" IROKs in my gallery. Got about 9" of total lift.

Running FW 9" and D44 from a '79 F150. Adding alloy shafts up front this weekend since I blew a u-joint last run. Detroits in both ends.

I just haven't figured out how these guys can run 37" (or larger) tires under theirs with less than 8 1/2" of lift unless they either don't flex them or are using bump stops to keep the tires from hitting the body. .[/QUOTE said:
I have 37" MTR's a 2" body and BC's 5.5" springs and I can stuff half of the tire on all 4 corners...and have plenty of droop;D Measureing tire travel...24" But I do have stock width axels;)

I think the 12.50 width helps some for this problem. I know your wheel base is extended, but where have you trimmed and where are you still making contact? Its funny with 3.5" susp and 1.5" body and 33's I put it on a ramp and lifted with a fork lift and had atleast an inch of clearance all around, but when it went out on the trail it managed to rub. Seems like when you test on a ramp or just lifting one wheel doesn't compress the springs as much as twisting it on the rocks at every angle imaginable and bouncing.

On the ramp is when I discovered that it was rubbing. In the rear I made the entire inner wheel tubs longer on each side and they are no longer an issue. I do rub on the inside of the tires against the sides but it doesn't effect travel and isn't going to tear the tires up. The only reason it rubs there is because I also moved the wheel wells out 3" on each side to fit a larger rear seat in. My problem with hitting is at the front of the front tires. It's hitting the inner fender inside in this area. Unfortunately this is where the support is for the front clip as well so it isn't going to be as simple as just cutting it out. I also have to remove the front mounts as well before I can get rid of that sheetmetal.

As far as uptravel being over rated I use every inch of travel in both directions and once in awhile I wish I had a little more.

I've always wanted 37's, currently I have 35's with a 3.5 inch lift and warflares. I rub pretty hard in the back when I get all twisted up. I'm thinking of adding a 1 inch body lift and some 4.5 inch coils and leafs. That way, I might be ready for the 37's in the future.

Currently I am still running the dana 30 in front. I know a 44 is ideal but I am not going to replace it until I break it. I've wheeled the 30 a few times this summer, so far so good.

How long would a dana 30 take to break with 37's underneath it?:D

Good question, depends on what kind of wheeling you do. 1 trip, 100 trips, backing out of the drive way. It's not as stong as a 44 and they break fairly easy. Hopfully backing out of the driveway, that is if your looking for an excuse to upgrade;D ;D HTH oh Sorry for the high jack;D

Uptravel does help, but too much is just too much. I feel the same about droop. People have gotten so wrapped up in how their rig performs on the ramp, and not necessarily how it does on the trail.

I run mine with 2" body lift and 2-1/2" spring lift (though stock leafs in the rear) and it flexes respectably. I actually have lowered my rig when I put the 38's on.

There are tricks to buy more space for the tires to stuff, removing the front clip and adding a tube structure is one biggie, so is shaving the lip in the back wheelwells, extending them helps too. I'm grafting two sets of wheelwells together. If you ask nicely, Dusty drew some up that he had manufactured at a sheetmetal shop he may share the drawing with you.

I'm extending my fenders 8" (all the way to the tail post) to facilitate not only the larger meats, but also give room for that large of a diameter of tire. Keep in mind, that most 35" tires will FILL your wheelwell, and the lugs will drag on the leading and trailing edges, pulling them in to shred your tires. The driver side is the worst, with the metal around the fill tube.

5.5" Suspension 2" Body Lift

I have not been running stock axles for awhile. I broke Forged spicers a few times and the upgraded to Superiors and CTMs. Running 31 spline yukons in the back with no problems so far.

Come on Scott, pull that thing out of the garage and just drive it anyway. The bugs will work themselves out. If not we carry tow straps;D I expect we will see you out at the drive-in in Newberg tonight right? Give me a call if you need directions.

Rick, I have been MAJOR busy getting ready for the Remodel show downtown. I have a booth there and am really a one man company so I am just waiting to get done. As far as the bugs electrically, it was just 2 blown fuses in the harness (the simplest solutions often get overlooked in my brain). Being new to the area though, I have to get some business moving along, which is in the works. Then I can spend more on the bronco.

BTW, the guages all work now and are telling me the motor is a strong runner. Really good oil pressure and all. I should pull it out in a couple of weeks.

Just to tie things in though, I will probably run 37's as my wheeling tires as time and money permit. :D

I'll be lucky if I get mine going before next year after beating it. Broke both front and rear drivelines, and bent the crap out of the mounts my new Duff traction bar. Maybe I should get rid of this little motor in favor of a smaller one. Then again, maybe not.
