I have a harbor freight pipe bender and it definitely bends and kinks the material, it does a very poor job at making nice bends. I started making bumpers a few years back and decided on a air/hydraulic bender, it works great and will bend up to 2.5 pipe. I dont use it anymore.., but it is top notch at making bends. (My job is full time now, so I have no time anymore). I will go into my shop this p.m and see what brand it is.
