Finally fixed.

Resolved

Stuck at marker 14 rangers wont help and neither will most people passing by. Was driving when it just died. Switched to a full tank maybe flooded it. It starts and dieseight away. Batteries almost dead.

This sucks.

On the 101 headed towards pismo beach. Pismo beach tomorrow and then sequoia national forest friday. I know it's last minute but anyone in the area want to meet?

You are lucky to live so close. It took me 3 1/2 hours to get here. I spent the night on the beach in the back of the Bronco. Took out the back seat and folded the front forward. Made it through the back sand highway area to post 25. Fun place.

Can you check your ignition switch? I had an issue where one of the wires worked its way loose, thus allowing the truck to start, but die as soon as the key is let go. Good luck

And go figure that one of the few things you probably never planned on needing a spare for, is of course, the one thing that broke. And in the middle of sand dunes of all places!
Double-bummer on the breaking a part and also not being able to make it to your second destination.
No matter how modern or sophisticated we might get, and how cool all our mechanical things are, REEEELLY BIG TREES are still extremely high in "wow factor" any day of the week.
Hope you can plan to go back sometime.

Good luck with the motor. Hmmm, let's take a poll on who thinks Atom can just change the timing chain without doing anything else, vs those that think this will turn into a tube-framed dune-jumpin monster buggy by the time he's through!
It is a Bronco after all. Little things turn into big projects.

Waiting to hear how it progresses.

I finally fixed my Bronco! My timing chain is finally replaced. I replaced the fuel pump and battery along the way. It is running great.

6 weeks without the bronco I was going crazy. I even caught myself calling it a jeep. :)
