I would be interested to know more too. The previous owner cut mine and I have been looking at hood scoops but a hood louvre would be different.

I like the Cherokee type. They are small enough to fit in the raised portion of Bronco hoods. Any louver has to be behind the fan shroud to work well too. On carbureted Broncos the heat soak flooding has to be reduced with a place for hot air convection to move out of the engine compartment. I hate to give up the fold down windshield tho, so I would want block off plates for those times it would be fun to lay the windshield down.

I wish someone would take the plunge and buy one and post how it looks. I have a hole from a PO and the scoop is messed up due to the PO using rivets that have cracked the fiberglass.

Checkout Genright - they have some nice stuff. I've got a pair of loovers from them and they are really nice quality.

I've tried getting Poison Spider to make a vented hood for us - maybe with enough pressure... we sure could use one!

I like the louvres,my hood has the "bubble", that would look cool on it,and way better airflow too.

Check yer local hot rod shop, there may be someone local who can louver your hood directly. If you're close to 93004 PM me as MISF does this work. He can do them traditional or inverted/reversed.

Anyone know which hood panel would best fit on the Bronco hood?

Yes, I installed the JK 2007-14 on my 77.
I have a few tips .
1. Remove the hood it takes longer but you won't make the mistakes I did
2. Find your center and lay out the template and then layout the lover itself.
3. I measured 8" from the top hinge dude of the hood to the first center hole.
4. If you do this you will miss the under braces.
5. Drill 1/4" holes in the hood and don't tighten as you go
6. Tighten from the inside out
