Anyone/Anywhere-any insight, suggestions or general help would be greatly appreciated. My father @ an early stage in my life owned an old Bronc, since I suggest that I am a grownup now(40), I would love nothing more than to own one. I reside in the great-weather state of Michigan so, to say the least they are even harder to come by. A coworker of mine, has I believe a 76 that he will take $4k for. Initially I thought "I want some of what that guy is smoking!" however, I'm not so sure now, after trying to acquaint myself to the market for them, that maybe his price is not that outlandish? It has a Fiberglass hood, 302, w/Flowmasters, I haven't heard it run yet-dead battery. The rear gate, for whatever reason has been permanently welded & presumably mudded in the closed position. Extremely undetectable I might add, visually speaking. It has a fuel cell mounted in the rear & the factory fuel door area has been horribly, shall I say "covered". It has rear fender flares that were glassed in...again horribly. The body wears a flat black, walMart issued rattle-can exterior, 90 something Ranger wheels w/new BFG all terrains. Currently has a bikini top w/the old rusty white lid in his yard. It has a, not sure how many point roll cage. It may have, possibly 4wheel disc brakes...funny how my memory is @ times vague. ;D I am currently Mi. drivers license-LESS-not laughing. I think that I might "invest" in it-well???

Welcome to the sight.
From your description that sounds like top dollar for the rig. I'm sure you know that 4 wheel disk are not stock on a EB. they sound out of place on that rig.
Ask your self what am I going to do with the truck. A fuel tank in the cab would be a deal killer for me,Safety issue.
My .02 cents

Since you are in Michigan, how far from Bronco Graveyard are you? They have a classifieds section and so do we. Yea, I am with rwill on this one. Sounds like a 1500 rig if that. Sounds abused. Good luck!

Keep looking . Look further South . The rear is a Lincoln Locker ( poor mans Spool done to the spider gears with a arc welder more than likely ) fuel cell is a good thing , something not to drop out on the trail after coming into contact with Mr Boulder, but other questions ...Does it have power steering , brakes , what transmission ......long arms, front locker what axle spline count and material ......Its a lot of the parts you cant see that I invest in so as to try not to Brake. Is this the tire the one you really want to run ?????? 0.02 in

Sounds like top money for a project truck. It all depends on what your skills are & what you want in the end. If you want a trail rig then hear it run talk him down a little & drive the wheels off it. If you want a car show cruiser then you will have to put lots of time & money in it to get to that point. If you are in SE Michigan send me a PM & maybe I can look it over & give you a more informed opinion.
