PSF running low. Do I need to find out what kind of fluid was in there before or just add normal PSF to get it to appropriate level? Wasn't sure if there is an issue with mixing or needing to bleed out what is in there already.

It's generic stuff. Just add fluid.
If the old stuff is dark/burned/dirty/contaminated, that is the time to change it. Just low, there has to be a leak, but just top it off with your favorite power steering fluid. ATF works as well and is often the factory fluid. But I still use a power steering fluid over ATF if given the choice.

Just make sure it doesn’t have seal conditioners in it. Often stops leaks but they just return later with a vengeance, some of them turn the seals to goo.
