Power Steering Seal Fix Questions

Basics here, have a leak from the box on the side with the stub shaft where it joins with the steering wheel linkage. I disassembled the box to the point where the Adjuster plug is out and I am trying to break down the parts contained in that unit.
On the back side there is a retaining ring that appears to be holding in the bearing seal and dust seal; I am trying to replace the seal and dust seal as potential culprits for the leak as well as the large O-ring seal that goes around the adjuster plug.

Any thoughts on how to remove the retaining ring without ruining the part? It seems pretty malleable and potentially prone to damage. Or do I remove the retaining clip from the steering column side and replace seals from that end?

Update on fix

This was really simple.

You come in from the outer side (where the shaft exits the box towards the steering column shaft) and first remove the c-clip (Part 3). Then pop out the rubber dust seal (Part 2). Then I flipped it around and using a tap gently removed the shaft seal (part 1). Also at this point you can get a good look at the bearing set that is in this unit as well to check for scoring, wear etc.

I used a seal guide to tap in the new shaft seal (1) until it was seated in all the way. I then pushed in the dust seal (2) with my thumbs (new ones are actually a bit flexible haha). I then replaced the c-clip (3) and that part was done.
I then took a pick and pulled off the outer rubber o ring and put the new one on replaced the entire unit, adjusted the torque and Viola no more leak.
