I told you to buy a Honda in your last thread. Mileage threads on a 4x4 designed in 1965 are laughable. You will never make up the difference in any parts you spend on your Bronco via fuel economy - and frankly if you have to ask this question, you probably can't afford to own a Bronco.


I will play along, although I maintain that trying to improve an Early Bronco's fuel economy is like attempting to make a hooker a housewife.

I never would have either..but on one trip to Tellico, I had to drive the 408 trail rig exactly 101 miles at 60 mph or so to meet Drew and crew with his big trailer. I filled up just before I loaded and I had topped off just before I left home bas. It took exactly 10 gal to top it off again.

Frankly..I was shocked..10 mpg on 39.5 IROKS. I was expecting maybe 5 or 6. ;D

Average 10-12 driving....but less when wheeling.
