So my friend who has built a bunch of street rods has done a couple of efi aftermarket systems with the push on hose. he is having good luck with it and also bought the necessary tool to press it on. i bought braided stainless but sent it back because i did not want to fight the stainless braid. interestingly, the aftermarket efi systems recommended not using steel line because of hydraulic hammer/pump pulsation or something like that. i did read specifically what they said my friend just told me. anyhow, i like the press on he used and probably will go with it, cheaper and easier to deal with. i will post a link later on the specific hose. i know we are always discussing fuel line and it is a very important to get something that will last and not leak. leaks are dangerous and can cause problems with performance. i have struggled over all the material i have read, i really want something that will not leak and hold up to ethanol.

That push on stuff has scared me for awhile but I have now seen it in use on a few rigs for like 5 or 6 years now.
Still looks fine.
All of them were fuel injected too, so the fuel pressure is wicked high.

I guess the stuff is really okay....my next fuel system will be that stuff.

Fuel line

Please provide the link as I am redoing my EFI system on a new motor.

I used for the last 8-10 years EFI rubber fuel line with the EFI metal clamps and they have worked fine. But if there is a better horse, then I would like to no more....

ever try to pull a hose off a push on fitting? not easy at all as the hose would have to tighten on the barb. i've always had to cut the hose of the fitting to replace one.
just be sure to use a EFI rated hose for the pressure an the ethanol

My Buddy just said that he can push on -8 with assembly lube but can't quite do it without assembly lube.

After -8 he says they are damn hard to push on.

But I am liking it.

It will be my next hose/fittings.

I looked at a bunch of options and decided to go with the powerflex ptfe lined hose. it is pretty easy to put together. easier than regular an hose and it has the ptfe lining that is supposed to be resistant to vapor, and ethanol. I have used it before for power steering lines on my 65 and 67 mustangs but this is the first time I have used it for fuel. it comes in either stainless braided or in black I used the black on my 71. it will be a long time before I will be able to drive mine to see how it works however.

I have used the Russell twist loc fittings and hose. It's really good stuff. I have never had a failure. I was un sure at first about no clamps. But ut wont leak and it dam sure wont slip off. The hose is expensive but I have it on an 11 year old build and it is still in good shape.
