I think it is just that, throw back. Would you rather see it in some cheap ass Maaco paint job or know exactley what you were getting? I'm not "loving" it, but still ptreey neat that it survived this long...my 2 cents

In the era it was built, it was bad ass. Maybe not by todays standards or fads. I remember reading that article in 4Wheeler back in '88, it had allot to do with my fascination with paddle tires on my Bronco. So bash it all you want, truth is it would still kick ass, out in dunes, which is what it was made for. If I hit the power ball tonight, my first act of financial irresponsibility will be buying it:p

Even in 88, a cartoon pegasus paintjob was just plain poor taste. I agree with you that it has old school charm if you got rid of the cartoon pegasus.

yes, but does it have to look so "Queen of the Fairies" while kicking ass in the dunes? even in the 80's i wouldn't have been impressed with the paint job on this magically delicious bronco.

wow - i bet the same person who airbrushed the pegasus also wrote the copy for the ad - "From its days of being a colt, this horse has endured nicks and bruises that accompany the trails of the Northwest...." - thats right up there with "it was the best of times, it was the worst of times"

we should have a new thread where we get to re-write some of these ebay listings, kind of like the Sci-Fi channel use to do with those old B movies.

i agree with others though, this is a serious time warp vehicle and in that way, its pretty cool - i find this more interesting than some of the modern bling bling mobile sound system broncos i see on ebay - kind of like finding those old vans from the early 70's. this paintjob done in the 80's was about 15 years out of style - like a mullet is today. airbrush artist probably have it tough these days.

what would be REALLY cool is if it had crush green velvet interior!

about the only thing I like about it, aside from the fact that it is an EB under the bad paint, would be the tonneau cover. Hate the color of it, but like the idea.

If the airbrush pic was a smurf i'd bid on it. I just can't get into the whimsical magical unicorn thing. At least when you look at a Smurf you wonder what one would taste like BBQ'd on a spit..

LOL! But I would grill a Pegasus too if given the chance. It would probably be pretty tough though.

Once you tell your daughter this Bronco was in a magazine, she won't care what kind of mural is painted on it. It's obviously a collector quality and is an important vehicle. It probably needs to be in a museum somewhere.
