Jocelyn said "the way he's going he's gonna get his done before you get mine done!!!" I guess I gotta get on the ball ;D

That is to funny.;D ;D

As soon as I get some shackles and replace the bushings in them I will have a roller. I plan on rebuilding the Auto tranny and transfer case by this time next month. Put the Engine & Tranny together and set it in the frame, then start the body work.

Well its been a while, and I have made some progress to the point that I'm just about ready to start the work on the tub. For as little money that I've been able to spend on it has been a lot of fun bolting and welding stuff to the frame. Unfortunately all the expensive upgrades (alloy axles, lockers, gears, crab cage, etc..etc...) will have to wait for a while so I can start driving by SOB 11!

It took me about 3 seconds to catch on to what you meant by the chain!;) But I made a quick look through the pics and saw the chain through my rims and tires the day before I had them mounted. I figured after your polished Mag's and 35" tires were stolen, they would have to really work for mine!;D

I have not as of yet ordered my 1" integrated poly body mounts from WH, but will still need some help to move the tub from the side of the house and then onto my dolly.

On a side note, I did find that if you cut some long bolts and put them in the back of the engine block, when you slide the tranny on it goes much easier.

Due to super tight budget constraints, this has now taken over a year. I try to stay busy with it, but it does not always happen. I did get the wife out to help with removing the front sheet metal one day, and put the tub on the frame to start the body work process. Didn't want to do it over a freshly done frame and running gear, but space is limited. The fun begins!

Started removing all the bed liner and paint from the tub. Aircraft stripper made quick work of the bed liner, but not so easy with the 6 layers of paint and 6 layers of primer. as you can see I still have a few spots to finish.
Then I cut out the PO awesome floor job, and then the rusted out floors he covered (he even covered the body bolts%) ). Still working on the tunnel repair from the PO hack job!
Then finally made it to the steel yard to pick up some 16 Gage sheet metal to make the new floors out of.

Hope to be a lot closer to painting it before I have a second shoulder surgery.

Been a while since I updated my build, and I need to start posting some pictures. Here are a few mock up pic's before I took the Tub, Tailgate and front clip to the media blaster's. Hope to get it back sometime next week (or the end of this week). Was amazed on how simple these where to replace, '67 tub, '74 front clip.
Then the body work fun begins, nothing to fancy, maybe a 15-20 footer! Not going to spend to much time on it as it will see lots of trails and parking lot dings.
Next year it will receive the full widths I'm building (ARB's, 4.88's, etc.....)

I used heavy twine with a sponge tied in the middle and soaked it with POR-15 then pulled it back and forth thru each frame rail. I'd pour some POR in the holes to refill the sponge.

Oh, yes I turned the frame 1/4 and re-pulled it thru each time to cover all 4 sides of each rail. The only part not painted are the cross members and there we just poured in some thru holes to get the bottom coated..

Shawn, Ya need to get busting butt on this thing, as much as I do on mine so we can make it to SOB!!! We are going to have fairly similar rigs it seems. What color are you going for the exterior?

I want to go with a traditional Green, wife wants Urban camo with White, Pinks and Grey's, then we thought about Pacific Blue Metallic but may just go White. I hope we pick the color soon, I do not want that being the hold up (right now its the media blaster)!
I will be there for SOB, there will be to much beer there for everyone to handle so I need to pick up the slack.

Ok, I take what I said about getting going...you are way ahead of me. I vote for Pacific Blue Metallic.

You help with the Beer, Tito helps with the Zima, it's all good!

Finally got it back from the Media blaster last week, and got it on the frame today (thanks Tito, and Mr Incredible for the help) after spraying the bottom with some Black epoxy primer. No the body work begins!! I don't plan to take a lot of time to make it a show worthy paint job, just nice enough to rub trees and rocks, and still wash up pretty like!

Here is the tub after the media blaster, and still on the trailer. I think I found one tiny little spot of rust that I need to fix, so all in all not to bad!
