Question about replacing my cracked steering wheel

Looking to replace my 1975 steering wheel due to several large cracks (been there as long as I can remember). However, I now hear that the replacements crack just like the originals. Anyone have experience with this?

yeah in about 20 years the new one will crack too. Just the nature of the material.

Mine was replaced with a new one and it cracked also. I went with a wooden one and it looks much better than the original one.
