I lizard skinned the floor of a 94 bronco. here are some observations.
Apply to a painted surface. the directions say nothing about scuffing, just a clean and painted surface if i remember correctly. I used spray paint to coat any bare metal that was exposed prior to lizarding.
i wasted hours trying to use a bedliner sprayer. Get their sprayer. this stuff is thicker than bedliner.
In the "mess" of trying to use a bedliner sprayer, I ended up with product on the back window and on the back tailgate. This was well over a year ago and its still there.
My deduction is it would make a great underspray for a bedliner. If it sticks this well, and the fact that it is textured, I would think that the bedliner will grip to it very well. It will already be clean and oil free so the prep for bedliner would be minimal.
