A Marti Report on the '67 and later Broncos will tell you EXACTLY how rare the Bronco is. If you get the elite report, It will show all the stats on how many had what, all the way down to a one of one.
I'm not sure anyone has mentioned the military use 66' or it seems that most of them were 67's. IIRC didn't they have the stone covers over the headlights? And of course the military info plate on the dash.
I've heard mention several times over the years of a PTO driven auger, but I've yet to see one or no of anyone who's seen one.
This is why I love this site. I just got a 67 and its grill was in the back and it had rock guards on it. I thought it was strange but also it had been painted red along with the rest of the body I got but certain areas the original paint can be seen which is a grey-green color. Looks like faded dull OD green. I thought it was a primer spray from a previous rebuild...now I have to get a Martin on it to find out if it was a military vehicle. If so that changes the course of that build. It will go back original. Don't have the dash at all so cant check for plate. Had a 6 cyl and for some reason it had a Dana 44 in the front.
Y'all just keep feeding this good info out.
Thanks

I was the second highest bidder in 2003 when it was at auction in Nashville. It went for 9400, which was HIGH for a Bronco back then. I have about 20 pictures of it on an old hard drive. It was the nicest, most original Bronco I had seen back then. I need to post the pictures on this thread. It had a chrome Warn 8274 winch and bumper Loretta Lynn gave Conway as a B'Day gift.
Conway's Green Bronco was I told given to a bus driver. My cousin plays Bluegrass with Lil Roy Lewis of the Lewis Family gospel group they had bought Conway's Tour bus and Bronco in tow. It was given to the bus driver. Im not sure what year all this took place.
My 69 was ordered a non bronco color. It is a mustang gold. Marti report says one of one and then it was sent to stroppes shop for some up grades. Not the rarest but rare enough.
