:cool::cool: In 66 they had dealer installed P/S it was funning looking it bolted on top of the steering box was about 3" in di. and red in colore and about 11 or 12" long. I have only seen a couple of them and had one but could not get any parts to fix it. ;D;D;D Bill :D;D

I have one of these boxes with the PS unit installed. A shrillo unit. Not sure they were available in '66, but I know were around '69-70.

Was the flasher a dealer option? Didn't see it on the last two I worked on, early vin 66s though.

Another item that is getting rare is the 4 rod support 66 hood. It seems that many are rusting out on the front edge.

Like this one? Requires a little extra work to put gas springs on it.

Were the chrome pull handles on the doors a standard item?

How do you tell if fiberglass inserts are originals? The 76 Bronco I bought came with inserts and full doors. I opted for the full doors and posted the inserts on the local Craigslist. A few guys responded very quickly and thought that they may be originals. I got the Bronco in Mojave Valley, AZ (on the AZ, CA, LV border) so they could be take-offs of another Bronco in the area. There are a lot of them around with all the desert and dunes. I will post pics if anybody would like to take a look. Thanks!

Look at the middle picture post 13 it shows the back side of the insert. Note the smooth backside and the production date stamp. The formed in dimple for the screw hole. The material used was thermal formed product like Asdale. It is fiberglass in a thermoplastic, heated and formed in a mold. Its not like traditional polyester resin and fiberglass layup up by hand or chopper gun.

Rain gutters at the bottom of the windshield frame with two screws for U13's only. Anyone have a pair I can buy?
