Rattling Latches on Tom's Offroad Trail Doors

I'm loving these doors, but the latches are rattling like a can full of nuts and bolts. Tom's is trying to find a fix for me, but I wondered if anyone else has experienced this, and f so, what you did to quiet them down. Thanks in advance.

Make a rubber block, bolt to metal angle that comes with latch.

And I would soften these corners:

Well, turns out the rattle is internal to this latch they use. No amount of cushion would stop the noise. May need to shim the hinge to force the latch against the striker plate bolt. Still waiting on a callback from Tom's on their fix.
