Rear 9" axle end bearing housing gouged.

Hey.

I finally got motivated to upgrade my rear axles and this is what I found on pass side axle end. A lot of gouging. They are mainly on the taper/step end. Can I still use this if I can dremel and smooth this out? Ill be using the set20 bearing axle.

Appears to be old axle/bearing failure results. The set20 seals on the outer bearing surface and the axle so I don't see a problem using this. Smooth it out and emery cloth the seal area.

Thank you Jim. Im so glad I dont have to mess with it much. The bearing surface looks good except one small scrape. Ill most likely put a dab of rtv for peace of mind.
