Rear bed floor support bent

I’ve been noticing the support looked bent but have been going along with my 66 build. I’ve decided to replace the rear lower quarters so I started looking at the rear support a little closer. I laid a straightedge on it and the passenger side is very noticeable bent down. Have any of you guys had any luck straightening this support back out?

No reason you couldn't straighten it. I think most of ours are rusty enough they just get replaced. Should be straight all the way across. Tried jacking up on the crossmember end and driving down on the body mount area? Shouldn't be too tough to straighten.

I had a similar issue on mine. I anchored an eyebolt in the floor and chained the frame to it. Then using the floor jack, slowly jacked the support up near the end. Didnt have any problem straightening it.

Thanks guys. It looks like a pretty straightforward fix but I was just wondering if there was something I wasn’t seeing about it

After getting it back into position you may want to try to add a piece underneath to help support it. Or just replace the whole thing.

Yes sir. I’m going to try to weld some type of strong back in there
