Rear Driveshaft Question #2

Should there be any side to side play in the "slip joint"? Seems like a bit of vibration in the rear drivetrain and thats the only thing that seems to have any play.

Mine started to vibrate bad too, I also found a "loose" slip yoke. I installed a new extended shaft from Toms and wallah...no more vibration.

Yes the rear is also rebuildable but you may want to price out a rebuild/respline. Last time I had mine done I wished I would have just gotten a new driveshaft from one of our venders as for only about $30 more I would have gotten all new ujoints at the same time. Now some people have gotten them resplined for about 1/2 the price of a venders new shaft so you just have to check what the going rate is in your area.
