Hey I’m posting this because I had searched for a supplier that rebuilt a bronco manual steering box.

I came across this company out of Pittsburgh. I reached out to them and I spoke to the owner and told him we had a few manual boxesthat we wanted to unload. Also that we needed a few rebuilt for our own purposes. Anyways the owner invited us to come to and give us a tour of the facility. First off the it was like stepping back in time such a cool old building but the owner was amazing. Talk about a wealth of knowledge, Harold is a walking encyclopedia of brake and steering components for all cars and trucks. He has personally been in every major brake and steering manufacturers in the world. If it’s steering or brakes Harold knows his stuff.

We dropped off 27 Bronco manual steering boxes. So they have boxes that can be rebuilt.

Thanks I’m just passing this on… I’m make nothing off of this but I figured if someone is looking for a rebuilt manual box these guys are a great option!

Yes that’s correct… I did buy that off of you! Yep I put it on one of my U13 builds. The original owner bought the truck stripped down except he added a much factory bling that was available in ‘66. So in that spirt of the original owner I added the chrome steering box, chrome valve & diff cover. I even have the clutch and brake pedal arms chimed. It looked all pretty and the new owners loved the look!

I was quoted $445 for rebuild if you provide a core. If you don't have a core it is an additional $515

All the places I personally bought from or contacted $445 good ballpark price. The best price I found was $300 with a core. But I wasn’t very happy with new built box. It definitely wasn’t as smooth and the quality rebuild like these guys at $445.

So the core charge is $70?
