I have ~6" total lift on my bronco and I am trying to figure out what size tires to go with.

I have found a guy who has some 35" X 15" wide Boggers and TSL's..........will a 15" wide tire fit under an early bronco or is that pushing it?

Thanks,
Chris

If you got some big flares you can, but then flares that big might be illegal depending on state laws. My dad use to have a set of 31x15.5's on his for mud drags. With a normal set of flares they stuck out a good 3 inches past the flare. But they were on 14" wide rims too. If they are 35's or 38's you could but them on narrower rims like 12" but I would probalby not go smaller than that unless the tires are designed for a narrower rim. And then in my opinion the Bronco would look bad with such wide tires. I would go with about 12.5" wide tires. WIth 6" of lift the 35's will leave you some room for nice flex. Depending on what kind of flares you have, if they are big maybe consider some 37's or 38's.

cool.......thanks

I plan on putting some Gorilla Warflares on my rig......the PO cut the rear quarter WAY TOO BIG. I was planning on running the Dunlop Radial Mud Rover 35"x12.5 x 15", they are a screaming deal and are getting good reviews. If I wanted to go bigger, say 36"-37" what tires are the best bang for the buck? I will be offroading her a bit.

Thanks,
Chris

I have 38x15.50 TSL's on my rig and they look fine. I'll post a pic for you when I get home. The only negitive thing I find with wide tires are they arn't as easy on your steering parts. BTW mine are on 15x10 wheels.

On my first one I had 35x14.50 Gumbo Mudders on 15x10 wheels. They fit fine and looked great. If I remember correctly it had @ 4" of lift and fiberglass flares. Let me know I probably have some pics laying around.

Sure, if you have some pictures I'd like to see what it looks like.

Thanks,

Here's my old truck with no lift and 35x16 Boggers on 15x10 wheels. Pretty liberal fender trimming though.....

I agree, liberal fender trimming ;)....

However, this makes me feel good because I have a combined 6" of lift and will put the Gorilla Warflares on....I think I will be good with my temporary 35x12.5x15's until I get something different.

Thanks for the pic,

Chris
