RED painted Body Side Mouldings?

There is a Bronco on BAT right now with red painted lines in the belt line trim.
The seller states that he reproduced it to the originals that came on the vehicle.
The original owner said that it came with them… And LMC told him it was a one
year option for 1971. I think it looks great and matches the 302 emblems nice, but
I am thinking it must have been done at the dealership not from Ford…?
I have looked at many original 1971’s and I’ve never seen this option.
I have also never seen it mentioned in any parts manuals or literature.
Has anybody else?

He was considering the “Rosette Trim” listed as the option, but we all know better
that that was the pattern for the parchment upholstery inserts, and the “Body Side Moulding”
is the designation for that trim... Let’s not focus on it originally being Mallard Green either... ;)

Any hint of the Green under the White by any chance? Looks like a nice job if it's a re-spray.

Yes, you can see the green in some of the bodywork photos.
