I've seen two different style sandens, some that match the explorer with a through bolt across the axis of the compressor

some with mounting ears on the ends of the compressors were the bolts are parallel to the axis.

I don't think it would be difficult to make an adapter to go from the explorer mount to the ear style mount.

how much for one of those brackets?

i did look at the hydraulic motors, and I think it could work, but am seeing a lot of different size motors and absolutely no info on the hp/torque required to turn a york at pressure. Anyone know?

I have read that the York takes 19 hp to turn.
The same forum post said that the Sanden takes 5 hp.

I have 351w and explorer serp with stock pump with preoiler and have plenty of space. Works awesome! I fill tires, run impact, air chisel, fire truck horn, air gun, etc in conjunction with 4gal tank. It fills fast and have had no problems. It is one of my favorite additions.

Keep it oiled and enjoy. Don't go for the packing grease route, it fails.

There are sanden variants out there but explorers are a dime a dozen at junkyards. Go for it.
