Reid knuckles brake caliper clearance?

I’m frustrated! Won these in a raffle years ago and figured I would use them. They are ford five bolt knuckles. Bought some t-bird calipers but had clearance issues even after grinding calipers a bit. So went to WH and bought some stock calipers and they are having clearance issues? Is it common to grind the knuckles? I would think stock calipers should fit? Is there a problem with my setup?

Very common, especially with Reid knuckles.

Interesting. It may very well be common, but I don’t remember ever hearing about it. Either from Customers or here on the forums.
Maybe I wasn’t paying attention to the discussions.

I only found information about t-bird calipers having clearance issues myself so decided to put the front brakes off for now. New wiring harness is almost finished and then I need to address the brakes…just didn’t want to start grinding away without hearing some feedback
