I'm fixing to put my door hinges on a vice and try to beat these pins out. This is the correct way to remove them, right? I just want to make sure. I did soak with some Pb blaster first.

I had a full set of 4 off the vehicle that I soaked with PB Blaster for a couple days. Once they soaked, I put them in the press and basically pushed the pins out with no issues. I'd be afraid of mushrooming the pins by beating on them in the vice. You might also do some aesthetic damage to them with the jaws of the vice as you hammered away.

I soaked mine in a container of diesel for a couple of days. Then drove the pins out with a hammer and punch. I did not use a vise though. I had and old scrap piece of square tubing with a hole in it large enough for the hinge pin to go through. Just set the hinge on the tubing and drove the pin out through the hole in the tubing. They all came out pretty easy with no problem.
