Removing 3spd snap rings

I had this great idea of replacing the O rings on my three speeding.

I am trying to get the thing apart.

How do you remove the outer snap rings. The hold in the front and rear bearings.

I have snap ring pliers but they are not large enough.
I just ran to harbor freight and they didnt have anything.

Look for Split Ring Pliers.

I found a good set at Pep boys. Don't get anything cheap because those rings are pretty stout.
