Replica dash knobs

I've been doing a bunch of custom stereo stuff and in the course of that found myself modifying lots of knobs, both factory and the aluminum ones from WH. It was enough so that I decided, mostly for the hell of it, to try my hand at making my own. Took a little bit of dialing in (see what I did there to get the process right, but I am pretty pleased with the result. They arent PERFECT, but I definitely won't be needing to buy any more knobs at any point. Photos are side by side of my replica and a factory knob.

If I come across one, or if someone wants to loan me one, I would be happy to! Are they like the 66 dash knobs, or like the Econoline van knobs, or neither?

Different than the '66 knobs. I'm not familiar with the Econoline van knobs. Hopefully someone with easy access to a photo can post one.

More like the 68 and up style you created.
The outer portion is more square and has a texture...

Oh cool, I see. Can't believe in all the time i have spent looking at knobs recently I haven't seen those. In some ways those are easier than the ones I made, and in another way more difficult. I will do some digging....

Thanks! I started doing the design/modeling of the 68-77 knobs above in order to support my RestoModern Radio project.
I have been looking at the 66 knobs for a while but left it on the back burner. But this week I had 3 sets of the 1966 knobs in my shop, as I was modifying them for a customer, so it spurred me to act.
Both the 68-77 knobs and the '66 knobs are 3d printed. However despite being harder to find in the wild, the 66 knobs are easier to produce, requiring basically zero post processing. The 68-77 knobs on the other hand require a captured metal disc during the print, a good deal of sanding, and a tiny epoxy resin pour.

Yeah, I did a lot of sanding (though 1000 grit ) for the 68-77 knobs, only a little bit of sanding on the white part of the 66 knobs. The white part is printed as well, and as I said, lightly sanded. It is printed separate from the black main body.
