Progress is being made thanks to John (aka BroncoJAK on this site) over at JAK's Restoration. Got the rig over to him Labor day weekend. Cowl was rusted out underneath. Wasn't expecting that, but I wasn't expecting no surprises.

On my end, need to get the engine situation figured out, the NV3550 kit ordered, the steering column ordered. I bought a 4x4x2 power steering box and Explorer front dress from guys on this site. Need to get them cleaned up, painted and get all this up to John.

She was in rough shape. Lots of hidden gems. Wasn't intended to be a frame of restomod, but that was the only way to make it a reliable rig.

Visited BroncoJAK just before Christmas to see progress. Looks great with all the sheet metal work.

Dash is coming along nicely too. Nothing too custom, just a radio delete, filling in some unneeded holes, and moved the glove box over to the left a bit.

No, not making it a LUBR, just wanted to see what it looked like with the uncut fender sitting in place.

Got motor back from builder today. Kept it basically stock with just a small "RV" cam in it for lower rpm torque. Since I'm going to be running the Explorer front, I went ahead and had them not reinstall the fuel pump eccentric and use a smaller cam pin so the cam bolt will sit flush. Motor looks nice painted black.

Wow, did not realize it had been this long since I posted anything, although, there hasn't been a whole lot of progress.

I finished the motor.

John finished the dash.

The sheet metal is done, a LOT more work than either of us expected.

My Bailie Bilt cage got delivered.

Had my gauge cluster redone by Kevin at Classy Gauges. Here's a before and after.

Hoping to be on the road by end of August. Will post more pics as the progress ramps up.

Looks awesome Rick! When I was there John gave me the card for Classy Gauges from your cluster so I mailed mine in to Kevin also. Talked with him today on the phone about what I want and look forward to having it look like yours.

It cost more than I expected, but was impressed with the final product.

Wow you're really smokin on your truck. The rebuilt gauge set looks awesome. Are those 35's you are running? They look great! Wart

Thanks Wart. Yes, 35's on a 17 inch wheel. The tires and wheels are new but I don't like those wheels. Will be putting on a set of slots.

Congrats, looks like a nice Bronco but please do not drive it with that steering.

Understatement, glad you are not driving that until this is fixed. that is awful!

Those bumpers would make great air tanks for on board air!! Good luck with the build.

The guy who made those bumpers must have made the previous roll bar in my project truck! A couple of pictures here: http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2838092&postcount=105
