Drum Roll Please.....

Choosing a color.....This might have been the most difficult decision in the entire process...literally one million choices and I get to pick JUST ONE...AAAHHHH!!

Initially I wanted to go with a gunmetal grey, there are a lot of Broncos out there in this color and they look really sharp in my opinion...with black rims...mmmmm:-*

BUT....I have always loved Burnt Orange on cars and was stuck right in the middle of the fence... It literally took 2 years before I could stand firm in my decision...

It was actually my wife that helped me decide....she tells me, "There are only a few cars out there you can paint Burnt Orange and get away with it...The Bronco is a fun toy and should look like fun!.... Just get a Gunmetal Grey truck and then you will have both!!"....so I did exactly that...Good woman right there..

After weeks of searching for the darkest richest Burnt Orange Metallic I could find, we finally settled on...."Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic"...it was a color off of a 2016 Corvette Stingray......woah... what??

Yeah, that's right, I put a GM color on my Ford...don't worry...you can punch me the next time I'm at Bronco Safari!!;D

This choice set into motion the rest of the color palate for the build...

Seat color, Bumpers, Rims, Dash, Roll Cage, Accessories...they could all now be given an identity to compliment the beautiful Dark Burnt Orange Metallic...

As you can see, I went with the original Parchment on the dash....(powder coated it)

I hope you are all enjoying this as much as I am!!

More to Come!!

Yeah...I travel a lot for work...and I have 2 1/2 yr old twin boys...(some days I don’t even have time to poop;))

It’s funny you should mention it...I tried to post today but was foiled by technology once again....I have all the pics I’ve taken over the last 3 years on my phone and upload a few to my computer at work then upload em to the site every time I post...but for some reason half of my pics get turned upside down or on their side when I upload them(even though they are right side up when I upload em)....I realize this is completely unacceptable to my loyal army of followers;D

So I actually hit upload, looked at the post for a second then had to delete it cause a bunch of the pics were wonky...of course by that time I had work piling up on my desk and had to get back to it...%)

Stay tuned!!!.....I’ll get some more up ASAP!!

Success!!!

Lubr lover....you inspired me to try harder...

So, I just uploaded pics directly from my phone for the first time in history…with great success!!

I powder coated the dash in parchment… for some strange reason, I don’t think an old bronco looks right without a parchment dash, with the paint scratched away from where the ignition key has been swinging against it...I actually can’t wait until I have key rash on my new dash....;D

I love the way the colors turned out… I almost named her “Creamsicle”
the day I put the dash in!!

I went with a Centech harness and was quite happy with how easy everything came together...I picked up an ignition adaptor so that I could keep the original ignition key(to scrape against the dash)...

A badass wood steering wheel was a must!!

Pretty much every component that bolts up to the block is a new part...nothing crazy performance wise...just had to be new and shiny to keep up w the rest of her!!

I brought my boy Luke out to play one afternoon....he approved...

His twin brother Greyson got a date w mom that day...

It should be noted that in the first post I made, the pics of the bronco were taken before the boys were even born!!!...they are 2 1/2 now...so yeah....long time coming on this project...(and worth every second)

And a pic of my boys in their natural environment...(best thing that ever happened to me)

Next post...seats and new shoes!!....spoiler already...she’s about to get real sexy...:-*

Now that was worth the wait, lol. Beautiful Bronco and two handsome guys to enjoy it with. That 2-1/2 years may have seemed like a long time, but as fast as time flies those two will be fighting over who gets the keys real soon.

Ben’s right......better start that other one soon;D

And the winner is....TBP Parchment Seats!!

What a difference a few seats makes!!!

I was on the fence for a long time deciding on keeping and restoring the original seats or going with a new set....

After looking into it, restoring the original set would cost me almost as much as the new set from TBP....

Not to mention I still had memories of the lower back pain the original style gave my in my 2 previous Broncos...all that shifting%)

I went w the premium seats in Parchment to match the dash and pull everything together...pretty dang happy with the results...

The fold and tumble rear seat is just wide enough to fit 2 car seats too!!

Added some seatbelts and we are on our way to happy days!!

You will also notice a freshly powder coated Roll Bar...(its done in a "Hand Hammered" finish that matches the headlight bezels as well as the rear license plate holder....gives it a pretty cool look with those 3 parts matching...(more detail on this later)

Sneak peek of the dual electric wiper setup...and Running Boards...(more detail later)

Next up....New Wheels and Tires!!

Baby got a new pair of shoes!!!

Finishing touches...how satisfying....

For some reason I had a really hard time finding the ideal wheel/tire ratio...

I knew I wanted 18’s w 33’s on em...really fat 33’s...turns out this was easier said then done...there were about a million options for 17’s or 20’s but neither of those had the stance I wanted...well, thank goodness I have a buddy in the tire industry...after a week of going though options, and adding spacers to get the fitment correct...the eagle has landed...

If you look close, you can see I just went with the stock bumpers in satin black..

I slung a nice little bikini top on and it’s starting to feel like she’s ready for some sun!!!

I left a bit of the old paint on the side BRONCO emblem..I think it looks badass...

We will get into some up-close detail about trims and finishing touches soon...

When my wife found out I was “blogging” about the bronco, it has been a pretty good conversation price...and she makes fun of me a little bit too...

I don't know exactly... I bought them from TBP scratch and dent for $125....

They had a quarter sized scratch in a place you would never see... so.. good deal there...

My wife was a hold out until I got her a seatbelt...;D
