Does anyone have a go to place for rocker switches? Looking for ones that aren't going to break the bank but can have a nice way of labeling them.

See picture.

There's Waytek if you want the basic Carling Contura switch and rocker covers
http://www.waytekwire.com/products/1407/Carling-Rocker-Switches/&pageSize=36

And then there's OTRATTW if you want the carling contura switches with words and goofy pictures
http://www.otrattw.net/

OTRATTW is based in Cupertino CA, bought some switches for my 02 Superduty...Very happy with their selection of products

Your thread got me motivated to finally upgrade my truck... Before and after.

Another vote for OTRATTW... Turned them quickly, nice finish and not 'goofy 'in my opinion.

Switch panel... Waiting on a start switch to fill the spot next to the stereo

Are those a "2 light" switch? Light on the switch name in the off position and then light on the picture in the on position?

I just want a SPST on off switch with indicator lights for off position and one for the on position.

It talk about independent and dependent LEDs. It's late and that's passing right through my head and just not sinking in.

Ok so the two led ones have a dependent and a independent light the dependent light will light up when you turn on the switch the independent light is wired so you can hook it up to something like your light switch connecting it with gauge lights. You just have to choose if you want the logo or words to light up when the switch is turned on. Hope that helps explain.

I usually use my dremel cutoff wheel and finish it off with a square or flat file.

Dremel and flat file is the best. Among other things I run a machine shop and ran these on a mill... Quick and easy that way!

My rockers have the bottom Independant and those are hooked into the gauge lights as noted, the upper light is lit when the switch is on. These are all SPST, but they have all kinds including momentary switches for in/out functions on winches.

How are you all making a nice neat rectangle hole for those switches?

Milling machine, laser or water jet works best, otherwise I would lay out the pattern, drill the four corners, connect the dots with a cutoff wheels and then debur with a die-grinder and various abrasives.

Slight sidebar - If you want 2 speeds for your wipers, do you use a SPDT and slow is up while fast is down, or is a SPDT a 1/2 click up for the first on and a full click up for the second on?

I used a SPDT where the switch is on-off-on. I have a 67 so two wiper motors so also had to add some diodes. could not find a switch that was off-on-on that would work.

Just talked to OTRATTW. They're adding 2 switch bodies this weekend to their web site. A VGD which is a headlight type rocker with off/on/on where it would be off, then driving lights, then both driving lights and headlight. They're also adding a VED which is a rocker for wipers. off/slow/fast. Just in time as I'm working on my dash.
