Roll-bar and hard top installation

Hi. I'm a newbie, so please forgive what may be a simple question. I am acquiring a '74 that has a roll bar. It does not have a hard top, but I may want one. Questions: were the roll bars standard? and can a hard top be installed if the Bronco has the roll bar?

Again, probably basic questions but I am a female with limited Bronco knowledge, so please be gentle!

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the team!

Roll bars were never a standard Ford item. A properly installed hard top should fit over a roll bar.

I made a roll bar for mine and then came across a hardtop. Oh the look on my face as we began to install the hardtop........It fit, easily. Looks like it wont at first, but you would be surprised at the room the hardtop gives.

Here is mine from the back view...the only thing I could add would be most all half cab roll bars will be to tall for a full cab.

If it is custom, no telling.
Most roll bars are made from kit form. They generally fit under the hard top just time.
99% of the time it fits just fine.

I will take the generally safe bet and just say "yes, a hard top will fit". But throw out the caveat of I can't guarantee what your roll bar is. It would be strange for the hard top to not fit.
