depends on application as well as condition of tub imop.

Rotten tub, beater trail truck, cut off and weld back on acceptable for maintance, expect it to be on it's side every other trip out=weld to the frame.

Good tub, just wanting a little protection in the rare case of a may tip over. Would like to be able to remove the dash in a couple years to finally do that rewire job. Bolt in is perfectaly acceptable.
