I am considering buying an edelbrock performer intake dual plane no egr. my engine now has an edelbrock egr adapter that has the egr blocked off with a plate. the adapter is also a 1" aluminum spacer set up for a 2 barrel carb. my question is with the use of the spacer can I use a 2 barrel carb on a dual plane edelbrock intake?

in my simple mind I don't see why not. All you'd be doing is ensuring that both banks of the engine are getting equal fuel. With an open bore there's always the possibility of more fuel getting to one side or the other. Really need some of the carb experts here to chime in...

There's no problem running a 2 barrel carb on a 4 barrel intake. You just have to use a 2brl x 4brl adapter. I did it for a year or so while "making up my mind " on which carb or fuel injection. In my case the motor seemed to run better with the 4brl intake than it did with the factory 2brl intake.
