• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

I have made the tough decision to put my baby up for sale. I am really torn up about it, and I know a lot of you have been in a similar position.

I almost never post but this forum, but have read it for years. The people on it have been an invaluable resource for everything - even figuring out the simple things like a dimming headlight (loose ground), and always providing insight and inspiration for what can be achieved with these trucks. Thanks to everyone!

Hopefully I will have good reason to spend a lot of time on here again in the future.

Wish me luck, and more importantly pray that she goes to someone who will love and enjoy her like I have. Thanks!

I know exactly how you feel I don't want to sell mine either. That's a beautiful Bronco you have there

TTTGOWYO -

I'm not sure what "that ebay ad sounds familiar" means, and please correct me if I am taking it the wrong way. But if you are trying to imply that my listing is in any way suspicious than I don't appreciate it that at all.

First of all I have been a member on here for 6 years. This truck had work done on it by Jake Good "INPHOBIC" in Kansas City who is a very prominent member and poster on CB. Feel free to PM him if you need him to vouch for the quality and authenticity of this truck.

To everyone else I appreciate the support and compliments. I am actually pretty torn up about having to sell it.

Hey,

I think there's a certain amount of looking out for forum members here... right, wrong or otherwise. Post count typically carries some weight, too.

It's unfortunate; but, there are people who sell Broncos (and everything else you can imagine) with the understanding that "buyer beware" rules. Unfortunately, that attitude taints every seller.

One of my hot buttons is pictures. The first Bronco I bought was listed on eBay. There were quite a few pictures. Most of them showed a brilliant red Bronco. When I took delivery of the Bronco the paint was in much different condition. Based upon some picture files I received when I requested them (and their date stamps), I concluded that the pictures were 6 years older than when the vehicle was listed on eBay. There were a few current pictures which were of lower resolution, and much poorer quality. I asked if the pictures represented the current condition and I was told yes by the PO. Is it illegal to do what that seller did? Probably not. Would I do it, or is the right thing to do? No.

Unfortunately all sellers get painted with the same brush when a buyer is burned.

Just my $.02.

Jeff

When someone judges by only post count, it punishes those of us who actually use the SEARCH feature when we have a question and don't waste everyone's time posting some simple question that has been answered a million times before, lol. Membership length should count for something too and its written right next to the post count.

Anyway I have nothing to hide, and would gladly send any pics or answer any questions the previous poster had. Or if he needs any reference from another forum member on the truck I listed an outstanding one above.

You can certainly understand that I am not going to let someone cast doubt on my listing and not respond. Especially not in as important a place as CB. Not sure what could possibly be suspicious anyway as there are 24 pictures of the truck, detailed information on the parts, and responses to further questions from buyers at the end of the listing.?:?

Thanks so much- the 68 doors are absolutely one of my favorite things.

As for the lift, its a 2.5 " lift. It has settled down to more like 2.25 though which I actually like. 15x10 Alcoas with 33x12.50 BFG ATs.

I am about an hour away and could sneak up to Fayetteville next Tuesday and take some pictures if anyone is in doubt. They won't be as stunningly picturesque as those in the listing, but I have a nice Nikon. Hell, I would love to see it in person.

Also, your children in the pics are simply adorable. JK

Cougarmandan - You are welcome to come up and take a look anytime before she goes. I live and work in Fayetteville.

Also the majority of the pics were taken by me, but I regret having so many of the ones from the advertising campaign. This is my first time selling a vehicle and I didn't understand that I couldn't add more pictures later. My dumba$$ didn't even include that I have the original owners manual, the glove box door with VIN breakdown, or receipts going back to at least 1990 in California. Rookie mistakes - I am adding that stuff now.

I am going to do a video and put it up on youtube since I can't add any more pictures.
