I saw this today on my route. its a 20 footer. I looked it over and the guys said it was someone that had just got it. Well that someone needs to fix a bunch of stuff because he could die. Just wondering if anyone knows where it came from. wow what a mess.

Hard to tell in the pictures. What makes it dangerous?

The list is pretty good. I was at the shop for about 20 min. In that time I saw: gas tank strap with sheet metal screws holding it to the frame. No clamps on the gas tank connections. new emergency brake cables with no linkage to hook them up. Rear end backlash of about 3/4 of a turn. rear axle bearings were on the way out. there was about 1/8'' of axle play up and down in the housing. Transfer case was leaking at the front yoke and the extension housing. No speedometer cable / no plug in the rear output housing. one bolt missing one loose at the front c/v. 3/8'' plate Booger welded to the radius arm mounts to make a lift kit. undersize bolts mounting the steering box to the frame. Drop track bar mount booger welded on the frame. steering stabilizer installed incorrectly. front coil spring cups with one bolt in each cup. dana 30 leaking from the axle tubes going into the gear housing. booger welds around the tubes at the gear housing. Bump steer problems. The truck was on a lift I did not look to hard at the body but it was not pretty. It was bad.

And someone probably payed $25,000 based on the pretty paint and pretty good style.

Oh man that's to bad. It must need to go to the junk yard and crushed im sure nobody can fix all that! LOL SO what! Seems to look pretty good. Good enough to fix and the truck would be just fine. Im a mechanic that stuffs pretty superficial to me. But then again it wouldnt cost me much to fix just a bit of play time in garage.

It does look like it's worth fixing, I just hope they make it safe before driving it. What was it in the shop for?

Sounds like one that needs plenty of love from a good mechanic and taken out of commission for the winter while it's being fixed. The list doesn't sound TOO bad for someone with some know how and good resources.
