Hello all,

Great forums and great site. I'd like to tell you all a little bit about myself (cause i know you've all been waitin to hear from a guy like me, yeah right!).
Way back in 1985 I turned 16. Three weeks after that day I spent my first 3 pay checks on my first vehicle. Yep, a 73 bronco! Spent $350 on her. Green and white, full of holes. White wagon wheels striped with red and blue. She had so much rot, every time I hit a pot hole the winshield frame would seperate and i could see daylight threw the bottom. Exhaust fumes filled the interior on every trip. I named her Kelly cause she was Kelly green. I knew nothing then (and to be honest nothing still) about repairing or restoring an old rust bucket. But something bit me. In January '86 I found Kellys older but prettier, big sister. She came home with me from St. College PA one day and I named her Candy. Yeah, she was red. Skinny little tires but man could she go through the snow. Oh how I loved my girls!

One of my fondest memories of being a young man is taking an ice fishing trip to Poe Valley St Park in Central PA. We left on a bitter cold Friday evening in late January after a high school wrestling match. Four of my friends had snowmobiles and I had Candy. Loaded her down with all the gear we needed for a weekend of fishin and friends. Candy never missed a beat. She plowed through over a foot of snow in the rugged central PA mountains. Too bad her heater didnt work!

In 1989 I had to raise some money for college and saddly had to let them both go.

Now, 20 years, wife, house, two great kids, 3 dogs, a cat and pony for my little girl later, my wife says she wants a horse so she can ride with our daughter. Expensive, but hidden potential. I say "sure,,, but" "if your gettin a horse, so am I." She smiles and thinks I gonna ride with her. ;D ! I've got other plans!

So why do you need to know all this? Well guyz (and girls?), I am looking for my first love. Has any one seen Kelly or Candy? If you've seen them or any of their sister that are available, "Send 'em my way"

Hope you enjoyed!

Welcome aboard!! I wish you luck in your search for a new pony. The search can be a very long and frustrating one but worth the wait. I looked for a long time before I found my ponys. Found a `68 to restore and then progress was going so slow with that that I decided I couldn't take it anymore and decided to find one to drive while I restore the `68.

GOOD LUCK!!

Good luck dude. Every once in a while I think about selling my 69, but then think, nope, been paid for for years, runs great, the bucket would make a good casket for me when my time comes. That would probably be a waste though, there is minimal rust. I'll just will it to one of the kids.

Post some pics. This board has eyes and ears everywhere. We just might be able to find one of the grrrrrrls. ;)

Welcome, you're not alone. Took me a while to get one back in my life, haven't regretted it yet. Best people in the world on this site. They'll be with you all the way. WE have a get together planned for May 31 for all early Broncos up here in MA. if you're interested. Love to have you come up and see some of the awesome trucks up here in the northeast.

We've had several people looking for the one the sold and regretted it later. In fact there is a lunar green 69 I bought in Eureka, CA, drove for 7 years as my daily driver, and sold in Houston, TX that I would love to find again! Good luck with your search! :)

You may not find the same girls as they probably got married and divorced a couple of times in twenty years , but you might have some luck finding a kissin' cousin along the way to keep the bloodline going ;)

Welcome to the site ! and good luck finding your new ride .

Sounds like enough cases here to constitute a spin off series. "Americas Most Wanted" Broncos addition. We all see how it hurts that we let our loved ones(Bronocs) go, remember that feeling if you ever let another one go after you get it in the future. Don't give up and sell your babies when the goin gets tough, theres always another way! Good Luck to all that are in search of their lost loves, and if all else fails, may another come into your life that makes you just as happy.;D

Welcome regret! You'll want to change that username once you find your new one. Something along the lines of 73sport=love.

Loved your story. I love a good read. It had suspense, drama, heartbreak, action, adventure. When does it come out in theaters? I'd pay $8 to see it!

Is that sarcasm I smell??? I think its going straight to DVD!! Thanks for the warm welcome. And I have already got some great leads~! I really like the new name suggestion. Hope to be changing it soon.

Straight to DVD ain't so bad. Most of my favorite SciFi gets that treatment.

My Bronco's name is Dixie Lee. That movie probably has a lot of moonshine and bows and arrows in it.
