I have done a little research on getting a set of tires and wheels shipped. But the threads are old and times have perhaps changed. I am looking to get a set of 35" tires mounted on 15" wheels from San Diego, CA to Oregon.

First, do any of you have a trip planned and can add this to your load? Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Second, would greyhound have the capacity to haul such a sizable load? My next best option I think is fastenal. Loading them on a pallet and strapping them down perhaps. open to your thoughts and options!

I’ve bought several full sets of mounted wheels and tires from Wheel Hero. Best prices on full sets, free mounting, balance, lugs, and nitrogen fill. Plus free shipping! They arrive on a pallet and require truck driver to unload via small fork lift. I think shipping would be very expensive if paying for a set separate from the purchase.

We have a few guys from the hotrod/race community that run loads like that for reasonable rates to help offset their transport costs. May not be a thing in your neck of the woods, but might be worth digging around a bit in those user groups.
Can be tricky to find at first, but a great service once you find them.

I would contact one of the online tire dealers that ship tire / wheel combos. They won't do it but you can ask who they use for shipping and if they use boxes or just cardboard to protect the rims. I've had they arrive both ways but its been a while.

You can always find someone on here maybe going to an event, or even a vendor If you got them to them and they could potentially get em there for ya

I like @BGBronco 's idea as well
