Hello
I am in the process of putting a new C4 and Dana 20 together for a future project. While looking for parts I saw were a manual transmission spud shaft can be shortened 5/8" for use in a C4. If this is so which end of the manual spud shaft needs to be shortened? Thank you in advance for your help as always.

Shorten the splined side that mates to the transmission. You need to be careful to make sure the splines are cut deep enough to still engage once you remove the back portion of them.

Thanks Justin! I appreciate the answer. It's kinda funny you answered this question for me. The spud shaft was one I got from you a couple of years ago with a NP435. Thanks again!
