We bought my son our youngest a 75 stocker he wants to lift it even though it is uncut( I know but it is his now and he has to learn). He wants 33" tires and although I tried to convince him that like mine 33" will fit on an uncut Bronco, he will have none of that. In fact he wants some crazy 20" custom wheels( no accounting for taste again I know) and flares. So he wants to sell these stock wheels that were suppose to have come from the dealer along with the the PTO winch(previous owner kept that(F@#$%^&)
I like them but he wants to get $$ for them to help with the new ones he has no money for. Your opinion. I have seen these before I think on a stocker they look great and if I didn't have a matching 5 slots on my 74 I would keep them for myself. Should I clean them and sell on EBAy and is it worth it or just put them on the classifieds here? If they were mine I would have them here to pass EB parts onto good EB brothers, but they are not and he wants to see if he can get the most to help him out. I do value everyones opinion( well not sandals and socks) he still around? Mo in Clovis

I hate playing EBers vs. the fleabay crowd. I don't like hurt feelings especially in a close knit community like this.

I think you should keep the 75 for yourself and get him an H2 , that way when he ruins it it's no loss. KIDS........

Miikee if I had it my way we all would have nothing but broncos and pre 80 f-series truck. My other sons has a 75 F-150 we are working on, the other boy has an '11 PS Etx.cab Shotbed( he is getting burnt out customizing and is trying to find a 73-75 shortbed crewcab 4x4 to replace the other if he sells it) The young just got the 75 EB and I have the 74 EB and my 79 shortbed SuoercabF250. Wife would probably not mine if I sold het Srt8 300c and got her a pre 50s f1 4x4 with modern touches as her daily(working on this). I do like how that 300 moves tho its fun to drive!
Lastly I am working on gettin a 72 that I have been after for a while now. we will see if it materializes.

I would research those wheels a little I dont think they were stock factory offerings in 75. I think they were offered in 77 tho. Having the centercaps may be helpful in getting a good price for them.
Id list on ebay just link to here you wouldnt be playing the crowd just spreading the word. Plus if they are your sons then its up to him. hard to say how much they will fetch

Looks like a dealer add on
Lot of the pickups and vans from the 70s had those

I understand the frustration
My 15 yr old wanted a chebby ....

Fortunately he wanted a 77 K-10 shortbed stepside 4 speed

Which, while not nearly as cool as a Bronco are pretty cool trucks
Plus he is learning alot working on it and it gets him away from video games so we can spend some time together

Could be worse. Your kid could want to rice up an old civic ....

I have a set on my '74 and would be interested in them if he wants to part with them. I think they would look good on my stock height '79 f150 4x short bed...shipping coast to coast might be a issue!!

My 2 cents:

Make him deal with selling them and funding the parts for his ride. He will gain knowledge of the whole bartering process and might be shorted some or maybe come out ahead. Either way he needs to learn the lesson early and with something he can grasp. Not only that but it will help him appreciate 'his' ride a whole lot more. While I don't care for 20's, it isn't my call. Let him decide what he wants to do and try to guide him along the way or give advice if asked. That's how I see it. I don't have kids but it is pretty much what my dad with me. So, no don't post them here or ebay. Let him handle the selling. My advice would be to do it locally though as shipping would be costly and not much fun. Make sure he has funds saved to cover the price difference, otherwise it will be sitting on blocks for a while...

I'd keep the wheels. Give the kid some cash towards his new wheels. Those were A Ford option from the factory, but I don't believe on EBs. They were on Full size Broncos and pick ups. If you see some Ford brochures from the late 70s they are on almost everything except 3/4 and one tons. I have been looking for a set for one of my projects.

This

My 16 yr old already makes a couple hundred a month buying and selling used tennis shoes

He'll pay $40 for a pair of used nikes or Jordan's or something and sell em on eBay for $140

Nuttiest thing I've ever seen

Some shoes are worth a bundle

I have been pondering getting a set of those. Every once in a while they pop up on craigslist. I just don't know if they will for over my rear discs.

I say monitor him on craigslist and eBay, but let him make the initial decision. People are vultures on craigslist around here, so the vulgarity-laced emails will probably require an explanation regarding humanity.
