Side mirror replacement installation

My 73 had no passenger side mirror and a very crappy condition driver side mirror. So I bought new ones from Tom's Bronco parts.

Most of the posts that I've seen about side mirrors talk about where to drill the holes to install the side mirrors but mine already has holes drilled so no issues there.

My issue is that there is a long cord connecting into the back of the driver's side mirror and going inside of my door and I don't know what that cord is used for or where to actually disconnect it so that I can fully remove the driver's side view mirror.

I cannot seem to find schematics nor can I find any information and what I'm supposed to do to uninstall this long cord from the driver's side mirror and was hoping you all can help me figure this out.

Thank you

Should be a remote mirror you will see a center hole between the 2 mounting screws. it goes through the door and out the inside below the vent window. allows you to adjust the mirror from the inside.

When you took the adjustment controller off of the door inside, what was behind the bezel ring? I have the same set up and I think I may be missing a piece holding the internal components inside. Thanks.

There's a washer with an alignment tab
