bear with me, i'm sure my terminology is off base.
i've got a leak where the tailpipe connects to the headers. what would that gasket be called? i see replacement ones, but they have 3 holes. mine has 2

so what do you call this gasket?
TIA

Are they aftermarket tube headers or stock cast iron exhaust manifolds. If they're the stockers, then that gasket is (or at least I used to call it) a doughnut gasket.

Do you have actual headers or do you have the original exhaust manifolds?

Headers - Collector gaskets are what you need.

Original manifolds - Donut gasket.

2 bolts and cast iron exhaust, stock exhaust.
Standard is FPG 8194
Upgrade is FPG 60985

If it is something else, we will need a picture of it.

it's stock exhaust.

so the donut? i didn't even see one at all. so it corrodes that bad?

TIA

There sort of a led mixture. Pure led would be too soft and susceptible to heat. Eventually exhaust heat does get to this led mixture. It's demise may not come for a long time but once it starts to go bad the failure point comes pretty fast.
Super easy to install. Donut gaskets are cheap and available at any parts store.
