I have one for our Ford truck, It is a slide in Pop-up camper. These types are still available, and pricey. We bought ours used, and still paid $2800. But, it is fully loaded and even has A/C. Expect to pay over $5500 for a base model new one. Starcraft are the ones I looked at before finding this one by Lightcraft. Good luck. :p

I know I have seen them, twice, on two different rigs, one in No. Cal and one here in Seattle. I did not get close enough to examine them, looked like a really cool idea. Maybe tha folks that make mini truck campers would know. Seems to me I saw an article in FW &OFFROAD several years ago about a camper specifically for 4wheeling, or adventuring, or something like that. Get back to us with links or pics or whatever.

Dan

My problem with a slide camper for an EB would be the bed. If you can't sleep well, none of the other stuff matters. I don't see a camper that would fit the EB having a decent size bed.

You actually get a decent size bed. You sleep above the windshield frame... here is a picture of one on EBAY

The part above the windshield goes up about 3 feet creating the bedroom.

Above the windsheild would be the one place I wouldn't want to put any weight

Like I previously stated, you can contact Starcraft, they make a small pop-up that would probably fit the EB. Mine actually came off of a Toyota Tacoma, so they are available. You will have to do some measuring and checking around. The sleeping place above the windshield/cab does not exert any pressure on the windshield area.

How tall are you? I'd get the measurements on that bed first. I've had an expensive RV where the bed wasn't comfortable. Had a Coleman popup, most comfortable bed I've had in an RV. I'm on my 4th one now. (not a Coleman)

I know I could go to the site and look but does rocky roads still want $35K for the camper?
I think broncohq.com used to have a link that involved Bronco campers.

Just FYI, Jim (Creel at WH) has one of those campers in the back of his warehouse.

They were originally made by the Four Wheel Pop Up Camper Company. Value is probably a couple thousand dollars? Rocky Roads had one in April when I was there. Wild Horses had one out back at one time too. I'd check with both of them if you're interested.

Todd Z.
