Well we are down to 1 day left and scrambling to get things ready to be on the road tomorrow. This weather is not the best sign of what lays ahead, but oh well.

Hope to be pulling thru the gate around noon.

At least it is not hurricane driven rain, right? They say for actual Turkey day the weather is going to be in the 50's. I am hoping so.

Well we made it and had a great time. Weather was good except for a little chilly in the AM's. Thursday we had a blast with both rigs. Friday AM more trails and fun. The son in laws Bronco is a beast, and handled everything he threw at it.

Friday afternoon my red Bronco blew a steering box (front end cap seal) of course on a trail called Bronco Buster. That made for some hard work getting thru the rest of the trail. But I managed and got it back to camp, put it on the trailer, made a mad dash back home, unloaded it and loaded the rail buggy Bronco and right back down I went.

After I got back friday afternoon we stopped Dave and Jamey's camp, and talked a bit. They were busy working on pulling a distributor out of a yellow Bronco. Dave and the yellow Bronco's owner got it out and were discussing the issue. Jamey and I talked about the fact that I was the one that bought his 79 Bronco tough truck years ago. And that roll cage had been relocated to my 71 Bronco. Small world.

Son in law and I went back out on the trails, but we never managed to link up with them. With the rail buggy Bronco pretty much stock running gear I was confined to the easier stuff. The nine year old grandson did get some dvrs seat time in his dads rig.

Saturday was more fun, SMORR had almost a 1000 people signed in and the trails were busy. After the son in laws rig popped a passenger side front axle u-joint cap (we caught it before any real damage). And we also found that he had broken his hydro assist steering ram reinforcement mount bracket clean off the axle.

So we tapped out and loaded up saturday evening. Grilled up some burgers/brats and watched the traffic from the cabin porch.
